Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgij Konstantinovich Zhukov was a Great Russian military leader and statesman of the 20th century. He was born in 1896 in Strelkovka village of Kaluga province. He carried out the coordination of the battles of Stalingrad, Leningrad, Kursk and the river Dnepr. Zhukov accepted the unconditional surrender of the German Nazi’s on the 8th of May 1945 in Berlin.
