Since the first days of the Great Patriotic War, the steel of the Izhevsk Metallurgical Plant has been supplied to 150 defense enterprises of the country.

Until 1942, Izhevsk was the only supplier of rifles for the needs of the army. After the Tula plant was evacuated to Izhevsk, they began to produce the Degtyarev anti-tank gun , the Simanov anti-tank gun, and the Tokarev pistol (TT). There are also 18 more types of weapons. The factories were working around the clock.
