The memorial radio station RP79GPF operates in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Guards Lieutenant Gribolev Petr Filippovich.

Petr Filippovich was born on August 18, 1920, in the village of Shulgi, currently in the Nevelsky district of the Pskov region, in a peasant family. He was Russian. In 1925, he moved to Siberia with his parents. The Gribolevs settled in the village of Verkhniy Tanay, now in the Dzerzhinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Krai. In 1937, he graduated from Dzerzhinskaya secondary school, later attending the railway technical school in the city of Bogotol, Krasnoyarsk Krai.

In 1940, he volunteered for the Red Army and, at his own request, was sent to a military school. In 1942, he graduated from the Balashov Infantry School and was assigned to the 67th Guards Tank Regiment on the Voronezh Front.

For courage and valor during the Battle of Kursk on the Belgorod-Kursk direction, he received his first combat award - the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class.

Tank platoon commander Gribolev distinguished himself in the Zhitomir-Berdichev offensive operation of the 1st Ukrainian Front in December 1943. On December 28, 1943, replacing the disabled company commander, he led the unit in the battle for the city of Kazatin (Vinnytsia region). During the battle, without losing a single combat vehicle, the Guards practically captured the city and the station, holding it until the arrival of the main forces. Tankers destroyed numerous enemy military equipment, personnel, damaged an armored train, and captured several warehouses. Only Gribolev's crew destroyed 4 tanks, 5 self-propelled guns "Ferdinand," 3 heavy guns, crushed 250 vehicles, and eliminated up to 150 German soldiers and officers.

On December 31, 1943, a recommendation for the award of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union was signed for Guards Lieutenant Gribolev and his tank's mechanic-driver, Guards Senior Bushilov.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated January 10, 1944, Guards Lieutenant Petr Filippovich Gribolev was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the presentation of the Order of Lenin and the "Gold Star" medal (No. 2074).

He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, two Orders of the Patriotic War 1st Class, two Orders of the Red Star, and various medals.
